Customer Privacy Notice
Stillman BancCorp N.A. recognizes the importance of respecting the privacy of our customers and applicants. Stillman BancCorp N.A. collects and uses information about individual customers only where we reasonably believe it would be helpful and allowed by law to help us to provide a product or service to them. Information from customers is used only when necessary to service or process consumer transactions. Sharing of nonpublic information with third parties is only done where disclosure is necessary to provide the customer a service or product. No information is sold or shared for any other purpose. The information customers and others provide us could be analyzed and will only be used for internal purposes. Customer data is compiled from but not limited to the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on an application or other forms;
- Information about your transactions with us or others;
- Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency; and
- Information we receive from you when you send us email.
- If you end your customer relationship with us or become an inactive customer, we will treat the information we have about you as if you were still our customer.
We limit employee access to customer information to those employees with a legitimate business need for the information. We have designed our policies, procedures, employee orientation, and communications programs for the protection of customer information. A Bank Code of Conduct is reviewed with employees each year, and the employee is required to sign and acknowledge this statement. Failure to comply subjects our employees to disciplinary action. We use advanced technology and information management techniques to implement security, audit, and control programs designed to protect customer information.
As mentioned earlier, third party involvement is only made when necessary to provide the customer the requested product or service. Third Party Agreements, for all practical purposes, respect the privacy principles and are listed in the contract agreement. The following types of businesses are used:
- Credit Bureaus
- Third Party Processors
- Government Agencies
- Financial Institutions
It is important to note that information is only shared with these entities due to a request from you for a product or service, due to federal compliance regulations or mandated by law.
When you log on to Stillman Online Banking, our service provider passes a cookie to your browser. The cookie only identifies your computer. We do not (and cannot) use cookies to collect or obtain new personal information about you.
This cookie allows us to process multiple transactions during your session without requiring you to re-enter your passcode for each transaction. The cookies for online banking simply provide another level of security for our internal banking product. We also require 128-bit encryption to access our online banking product, the most secure available.
When you log on to Stillman Online Banking, for the security of your account information, we recommend you not select the 'remember me' check box; however, if you do, a cookie is sent to your hard drive. This 'remember me' cookie enables you to shortcut the login process when you visit Stillman Online. If you wish to turn this off, the login screen provides a link at the bottom and detailed instructions.
In the future, to assist us in our marketing program and provide you with products and services of interest to you, we may send you email messages. This not only provides you insight into some new product offerings, it also allows us to verify your account and provide you an extra layer of security.
Visitors to our website remain anonymous. We do not collect identifying information about you unless you voluntarily provide it and knowingly provide us that information. We do collect general information about your visit, such as when you accessed our site, what pages you visited, and the Internet provider you use. But, this is done in summary format with no identifying of the user. You may elect to provide us more specific information, such as when you give us feedback or send us an email. If this occurs, the information is only used internally.
In order to provide you with our online banking products, we use the services of third party vendors. By contract, these third party vendors must maintain the confidentiality and privacy of your information.
