Derrick Johnston Joins Stillman Bank as Vice President/Chief Credit Officer and Director of Ag Lending
Stillman Bank is pleased to welcome Derrick Johnston as Vice President/Chief Credit Officer and Director of Ag Lending. With over 13 years in the financial industry, Johnston has experience in ag & commercial lending, credit administration, special assets, OREO management, and property/facilities management. In his position, Derrick will manage the bank’s credit operations and oversee all phases of Stillman Bank’s agricultural lending.

Originally from Belvidere, Johnston is relocating back to the area after recently residing in Monmouth. Prior to banking, Derrick worked in law enforcement for over 20 years with the Boone County Sheriff Department, Belvidere Police Department, and Monmouth Police Department. An avid sports fan, Derrick also previously worked as a part-time football coach for Monmouth College for the past 18 years. Additionally, Johnston has been involved with the Fire/EMS Service most of his life and currently serves as a volunteer firefighter/EMT for Boone County Fire Protection District #2.
