You can open a Statement Savings account with just a $100 minimum opening deposit (or just $10 for minors under 18 years of age. Account feature:

What’s the difference between a checking account and a savings account?

The main difference between our Free Checking Account and our Statement Savings Account is that our savings account pays interest, whereas the checking account does not. With our checking account, you also get paper checks that you can use to pay your bills.

Do I need both a savings account and a checking account?

The number of accounts is up to you. Most of our customers have a checking account for their everyday spending while maintaining an interest-bearing savings account as an emergency fund, an education fund, and long-term plans.
