Stillman Bank Hosting Community Food Drive
This June, we are proud to be celebrating our 143rd anniversary! To mark the occasion, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting a Community Food Drive, running from Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 20.
Donations to food pantries often drop during the summer months, but this is actually when food pantries need them most. With schools out for summer break, many families lose access to free meals, increasing the demand for food assistance. That is where you can make a difference!
All donations collected during this Community Food Drive will go directly to pantries in each of our communities:
- Bread of Life Food Pantry in Stillman Valley
- People Helping People in Byron
- Lifeline Food & Self-Help Project in Oregon
- Old Stone Church Food Pantry in Rockton
- Rochelle Christian Food Pantry in Rochelle
- Rock River Valley Pantry in Rockford
All canned and non-perishable food items are greatly appreciated, but some recommended items include:
- Easy-open canned goods (fruits, veggies, beans)
- Peanut butter
- Ravioli & Spaghetti-Os
- Cooking oils (vegetable/olive)
- Salt, pepper, and spices
- Pasta & sauce
- Mac & cheese
- Rice
- Sugar & flour
- Condiments
- Tuna
- Oatmeal, cereal, crackers
- Baby food
- Juice boxes
- Tea, coffee
- Cake mix & frosting
- Raisins, nuts, fruit snacks
Stop into any of Stillman Bank’s six locations to drop off your donation between June 9 and June 20! We hope we can count on your support!
